Dr. Rogers was born in Dallas, Texas. He graduated at the top of his high school class. He went on to the University of Virginia where he majored in biochemistry. He attended medical school at the University of Texas in Houston. His general surgery internship was also through the University of Texas. He then moved back to Virginia where he completed his orthopedic residency at Eastern Virginia Graduate School of Medicine. From there he went to Philadelphia where he completed his fellowship in sports medicine at Lankenau Hospital through the Jefferson Medical College.
Dr. Rogers moved back to Houston in 1991 and has been actively treating "weekend warriors" to professional athletes since then. His focus is on shoulder and knee reconstruction; although he treats all orthopedic problems. Dr. Rogers is affiliated with West Houston Medical Center. He has helped and treated thousands of patients, consistently using updated technologies and procedures; not using surgery at all when possible. Dr. Rogers treats patients from infants to centenarians. He is also one of the most experienced orthopedists in using nonsurgical treatments for osteoarthritis of the knee.
Dr. Rogers is married, enjoys spending time with his wife, three children, and is an avid golfer.
